Wealden Flowers

Dahlias

From July until deep into the autiumn: our dahlia varieties are tall, strong and gorgeous!

From the last week of May until mid June: our top wedding flower is the peony...

Among our most popular flowers is the sweet pea: from April until July we are supplying pure scent!

From April 2012 onwards we will supply flower shops in Lewes and Brighton every Monday and Thursday. Please get in touch with us if you are interested in buying your flowers straight from the grower!

Here at Wealden Flowers we grow our flowers without the use of artificial  pesticides or other chemical poisons - we strictly use only organic principles and practices. We use compost and organic chicken manure pallets for fertility and we also use biodynamic spray preparations on our fields for enhanced vitality of the crops.

We don’t use genetically modified varieties - all our varieties are the result of traditional breeding skills.

We work together with the Biodynamic Agricultural College, and their students come regularly on work placements and site visits - we care about the future of British farming so wherever we can help with training the next generation of farmers and growers, we will.

We care about the environment and about our carbon footprint - our flowers don’t travel far!  Where most flowers in the flower shops are flown in from Ecuador and Columbia - our flowers don’t get to see much of the world at all: they are all sold within a 50 mile radius of our flower farm, and most even much closer than that. We believe flowers don’t have to cost the Earth.
